 Prompts:
Each success only buys an admission ticket to a more difficult problem.

Assignment:
What is your view on the idea that each new success leads to new and more difficult problems? Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experiences or observations.
In order for one to attain success, it is palpably that one has to be armed with certain level of capability, in terms of personal attributes and skills competency. However, man is greedy in nature. Although the current goal is accomplished, we are not sated. Driven by innermost ambition for achieving greater achievement, we tend to pursue another goal in life, which sets us into a new series of challenges.

Regardless of the amount of efforts needed to toil in striving through the new challenges, it is always worthwhile for one to have new sets of challenges that question one’s capabilities. Growing with the challenges surmised, one will realize the improvement he gained throughout the journey. All the impasses tackled serve as a membrane; filters out your weakness, so that you can ameliorate on it. At the same time, it retains and empowers your strength to a greater extent, which allows you to have a great leap-in towards a better person with a more promising future.

This attribute of embracing new challenges in life is not only restricted to the world leaders, but also ascertained among the pools of businesses. Starbucks, as the biggest Coffee chain company in the world, has vividly portrayed this potential characteristic. Although the customers are satisfied with its current products, it continues to upgrade itself, in customizing the shops in different cities, in discovering new coffee recipes, in developing new guideline for customer services and etc. All these efforts are repercussion of craves in achieving higher goal.

In a conclusion, it is true that each success leads to new challenges. However, as the world is changing every single second, we cannot restrict ourselves in stagnant stages. We have to learn to cope with new challenge quickly. Just like story in “Who steals my cheese?”, every single second is subjected to changes. If one is reluctant in adapting to the changes, one is destined to be fouled out from this competitive playing ground. So to survive and to succeed in life, we should not be complacent with what we have attained, but follows Steve Job’s credo, “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.” . Always stay alert and courageous for the new challenges, that is the rule of thumb to empower us into greater persons.

Time spent: 40 minutes.
